This study was a survey of teenaged boys and their parents, aimed at understanding generation gaps. Survey questions explored perceived disagreements between sons and parents about lifestyle and attitudes, discipline between teenage sons and their parents, and sons’ attitudes toward parents and relationship with each parent. The surveys collected information about the respondent’s self-concept and a range of attitudes, including work attitudes, religious participation and attitudes, attitudes toward protests and other political actions, and attitudes about sexual activity.
